How Can You Reduce Costs?
Costs Associated with Labeling
- Quantity of labels: It is no secret that you need to order a large quantity of labels in order to get a reasonable price per label.
- Wastage: Many of the labels you order never get used. The reasons can vary from a discontinued product to changes of information. (change of ingredients, package size or even address)
- New Product Market Testing: When you try a new product or a new size for a product, you need to order thousands of labels, even if this is only an experiment.
- Plate Charges: Every time you order new labels, you need to pay for plate charges, as well as other charges such as Art Work, Design Work, Etc.
You can reduce all these cost by switching to pre-printed shell labels. The shell labels are full color labels with all your art work, but they do not have any specific product information. Product specific information is printed on the label using a thermal printer. This solution is called: "Print on Demand"
Eliminate:
- Waste - You will be able to use the same label for all your products.
- Market Testing Costs - Now you can test new products, but do no have to order special labels. Test 5 or test 100, use your existing labels to try new combinations and new products.
- Printing Costs - You will only have to pay one time fee for your plate charge. Since all your labels are the same, you no longer have to pay each time you want to add a product or make any changes to product information.
How Can you Increase Sales?
There are several ways you can do it:
- Private Label your Products -All the information now resides in your Food Label System. Now you have the ability to print to ANY label!
- New Products - Try new products, test how well they do and start selling those.
These are just two simple ways to increase revenues by opening new markets for your products.
